Responding to a Spill
Even with proper assessments and protections, spills can and may still occur on a construction site. Today’s Safety Saturday moment discusses how to respond to a spill.
From slips and trips to burns and scalds, spills pose a risk to people and the environment nearby- which is why it’s important to have a plan in place to help mitigate the impact. Here are 4 basic steps when dealing with a spill.
- Notify those around you that the spill occurred
- Control the spill
- Contain the spill
- Once the spill is contained, the cleanup process can begin
