Daylight Savings
It’s time to “fall back” on the clocks and time to think about safety- not just on the job, but off the job as well. This time of year is a good opportunity to check off some of the safety items around your household that you may not typically think of.
Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Ensure they are working properly and replace batteries in them. Prepare your home for the upcoming winter season. Make sure that you have a winter emergency kit stocked and ready to go in your home, as well as in your car. Additionally, chances are you have a fire extinguisher tucked away somewhere in your house. Make sure the extinguisher is okay, in good operating condition, and fully charged. If not, replace it.
Lastly, be sure to use extra caution on the roads during the early morning and evening hours. The time may be changing but that will not stop us from seeing pedestrians on the road biking, walking their dog, or even wildlife crossing by. Limit your distractions, be sure your vehicle is operating safely, and pay extra attention.
