Whether it’s talking with your crew on a job site or company to company, communication is key no matter what you’re doing, where you are, or who you’re with. Daily pre-task talks are vital for creating communication on your team. These pre-task talks will discuss what needs to be accomplished that day, make everyone aware of any hazards on the site, and how they can most safely be worked with. Communication between project managers and foremen is also key for updates that are happening on the fly and for addressing areas of conflict, and to keep everything running smoothly.
If you ever don’t understand a task, ask about it. Being honest will keep you and everyone on your site safer and on the same page.
